En 1992 visité el USS Intrepid, CV-11, un buque de la SGM que estuvo en activo hasta la Guerra de Vietnam, recibiendo varias condecoraciones por su hoja de servicios. Este buque y otros se encuentran fondeados en Manhattan, a la altura de la ONU, pero justo en la otra punta.

La entrada al museo estaba flanqueada por varios tanques... Dentro, aguarda el Portaaviones, el USS Growler, uno de los primeros submarinos nucleares y el USS Edson, el primer buque de la USN en llevar el nombre de un Marine.
